If I've been quiet lately, it's because I've been busy. I mentioned last issue that my mom was moving to a care facility. Sounds easy, but downsizing and moving never is, and add in long-term care insurance paperwork and medical issues, and it was months of work. But thankfully, she's finally moved and is settling in quite well!

Meanwhile, besides getting another issue of xDev out, I'm drowning in apples and plums from my trees (see pics). I've been making lots of apple butter and applesauce!

In This Issue

Cutting so many apples gave me time to think about "artificial intelligence," and I wrote some thoughts for this issue. I also write about my long-term project to migrate my ancient subscriber database, written in 2002, to Apple Silicon and modern Xojo.

Eugene is back with more Raspberry Pi—this time beginning a series on declares for the device.

In other news, we welcome a new writer, Felix Lilly! He's got a terrific example of how to make a shared notes app with Xojo.

In our columns, Tim interviews our own Paul Lefebvre, Paul writes about open-source software, Stefanie creates polar charts, and I show how to fix my ChatGPT Document Analyzer from last issue that OpenAI broke. Enjoy!
