For this issue, I had the opportunity to interview Xojo's own Paul Lefebvre. Paul is Xojo's Senior Software Engineer and works on both the Xojo IDE and various developer platform frameworks.

In the interview, Paul reflects on his journey from hobbyist to professional developer, shares how he discovered Xojo (back when it was REALbasic), and talks about the many roles he's played—independent developer, evangelist, engineer, writer, and retro computing enthusiast. Along the way, he offers candid advice for today's developers and gives a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to shape the tools he's used for most of his career.

Early Years & Career Path

When were you first exposed to computers? What got you hooked, and how did that interest grow into a career?
