I love being efficient. For me, that often means multitasking. But you know what's even better than multitasking? Killing two birds with one stone.

In this case, that meant me needing a tool to help me prep my xDev Library inclusion in the 2026 OmegaBundle and me wanting to try out Apfel, a command-line tool that lets me access Apple's on-device artificial intelligence model.

The Problem

Each year that we do an OmegaBundle, I include a fresh collection of xDev Library articles. This ensures my contribution is new in case there are repeat buyers who wouldn't appreciate it if my content was the same they'd bought in the previous bundle.

Right now, we haven't been writing too many brand-new articles for xDev Library, but I still have years of xDev Magazine articles that are not yet available individually. So it's a "simple" matter to package these up and add them as items on xDev Library and include them in the new OmegaBundle.

But while "simple," the task is tedious. It's a lot of repetitive work. I usually add about 20 or so articles, so they all need to be extracted from the magazine, converted to PDF, packaged, and made available on GumRoad, my selling platform.
