Excerpt of article text...

Our annual Xojo user conference is one of the most fun and exciting times of our year (see Figure 1). From engineering to marketing to customer support, we all thrive off of the energy, ideas, and in-person conversations that happen at the conference. So not being able to have our 2020 conference due to COVID-19 was quite the disappointment. Personally, it was sad that, in a matter of days, we undid all the work and planning we had done over the course of the last year (see Figure 2).

As many of you know, the plan was to make a test build of Xojo 2020r1 available to attendees at the conference. However, we decided to make good use of the extra time and continue our development on the release. It is now in the testing phase and will be publicly available soon.

Like many other companies, we are trying to help people by providing content for continued learning during this crisis. We had a lot of news and updates we were planning to share at the conference, so we instead recorded them and put them on YouTube for everyone to watch. The available videos include Geoff's keynote, as well as our sessions on Web Framework 2.0 and Android. We also recorded and posted a Q&A session Geoff hosted in late March.

To support our goal of providing useful learning tools during this crisis when we are all at home, we have been releasing videos from the XDC 2019 Conference, so you can see things like Jim Meyer's popular AI session, Leigh Robert's Google-Like Predictive Autocomplete for Search, Marc Zeedar's XojoScript session, and more! All videos are available here:
