FTC 1.1
The FTC is a canvas-based control for REALbasic that implements word processor capabilities similar to Apple Pages and Microsoft Word. The FTC is useful for implementing reports and general word processing capabilities within your REALbasic applications. It features: three display modes including page, normal, and edit; RTF support including picture support; a full range of paragraph and character styles; picture support; custom object support for adding application-specific items; built-in undo management; many customization options to adapt the FTC to your application; highly optimized code written in REALbasic for maximum flexibility. Version 1.1 has 12 new features and enhancements including the addition of hyperlinks, picture and custom object enhancements, selection rectangle constrained to the actual selection, other assorted enhancements, and also addresses 24 bug fixes.

This update adds more build options and improves the recovery process from a failed build. Aussie Designed Software releases the open source RB2Doxy on Google Code. RB2Doxy is a solution which converts the XML format of REALbasic to a set of Java declarations so it can be processed by the popular Doxygen documentation generation program. It uses XSLT programs to achieve the conversion so may also be of interest as a fairly complex XSLT example. Control Locking: Control Locking adds the ability to lock a control in the IDE so it's position and size cannot be edited. This is useful for positioning controls at design time on complex User Interface's to prevent accidentally modifying the control.Tab Stops: Tab Stops allow users to specify controls to be skipped over when tabbing through the user interface at runtime.Auto-adjust Tab Indexes: REALbasic can now automatically determine the tab order for all controls.Warning System Updates: REALbasic now includes several new warnings, as well as a new User Interface to set per-project preferences on what warnings to receive.Constants in Declarations: The REALbasic compiler now allows the use of constants and enumerations in declarations. SuperSpriteSurface is a class framework for REALbasic that provides a savvy, modern alternative to REALbasic's built-in SpriteSurface control which was recently dropped by REAL Software. New in Beta 2: the OpenGL plug-in has been updated to version 1.0.1, which will make SuperSpriteSurface compatible with the latest version of REALbasic. The SuperSpriteSurface text-engine is included with this version. Additionally, this version now includes the OS X utility, Font Texture Map Maker.app. This application will generate cross-platform font files for use with SuperSpriteSurface. This utility will soon be available as a separate download; it can be used for any OpenGL development that needs texture-map fonts! Finally, SuperSpriteSurface 2.0 is now being released under a BSD-style license. OpenAL is an audio library used to play .wav files. Similar to the easy to use built-in sound class in RB, but offers a few more parameters that you can tweak. A REALbasic module and class that wraps the functionality of playing sound using the OpenAL library. The module is named OpenAL_OSX and the associated class is named OpenAL_Class. They are both encrypted but are offered as is for free and as the name indicates, they are to be used on a Mac only. Created and tested with 2008R3.1 on OS X 10.5.4 on Intel iMac.
