Excerpt of article text...

It's been a few years since the last Real World conference and I have to admit that I didn't realize how much I missed it until I was there. While we're all interconnected in this modern world of telecommunications, there's still something very special about meeting people in person. When those people happen to be as fanatical about Real Studio programming as you, then it's priceless.

I liken going to Real World to being away in a foreign country where few speak your native tongue and finally returning home, even if it's only for a few days. It's very touristy and expensive, though since I didn't have a car, I saw little other than the airport and the hotel. Austin seemed to have a more unusual vibe, something unique, while Orlando was your typical busy tourist destination.
