Excerpt of article text...
On Friday November 2nd, a Real Studio event was held in Victoria Square, Birmingham and was organized by Eric Gibbons and Stewart Johnson.
The day before, many of the delegates gathered together in the beautiful Baccus bar in Temple Street, one of the oldest streets in Birmingham dating back to 1398. The bar has many famous neighbors including Theatre Royal and the Museum of Bazaar. Nearby New Street has historically always been one of the city's principal shopping streets and in the 18th and 19th Century it was described as the Bond Street of Birmingham.
After a wonderful dinner and some inspirational conversation, we headed back to the hotel near Birmingham Cathedral.
The following day, about 20 people all arrived early at the Regus House in Victoria Square, considered to be the centre of Birmingham, housing the famous fountain and statue by Dhruva Mistry, affectionately called the floozie in the Jacuzzi.
The first presentation of the day was by the host, Eric Gibbons from MacTasks. Eric gave an overview of the Real Studio resources, such as Real Studio downloads, books, code examples, the rbdeveloper magazines and useful websites.
