Excerpt of article text...

Xojo 64-bit is coming soon... actually by the time you read this it might (hopefully) be already out and in our hands. I'm really hoping it comes soon as I have a big project that needs 64-bit and the access to large amounts of memory that 64-bit provides (processing large proteomes runs way too slow from disk but runs out of memory otherwise). So if you have any tips to share on your transition to 64-bit then send them in and I will make a special 64-bit edition for a future issue of xDev!

Tip 1: When self has no name...

Every control has a name (not to be confused with the caption property that some controls have), and you use its name to refer to it. For example you say:

myListBox.addRow "test"

popupCustomers.ListIndex = 3

...End of Excerpt. Please purchase the magazine to read the full article.
