Recently someone mentioned to me that the next issue of xDev was going to be our 100th. I think in terms of anniversaries, not issue count, so I hadn't noticed, but this is something fun to celebrate!

In This Issue

With that in mind, we've got a few treats for you. The 100th issue and Apple's recent developer conference got me thinking about the future, so I wrote Curves Ahead, where I wonder what's next. Richard Duke also wrote a piece about his being in business for 30 years—he's had quite a career!

In other articles, we've got a new series from Paul Budd on how to build a simple Web App. If you haven't created one yet, this is a must-read.

Markus Winter continues his valiant quest for a numbers-only textfield, and this time he gets marvelously technical. (Or maybe it's philosophical? Just what is a number, anyway?) He also wrote a side piece about creating a TextField with warning sign, a control he needed for his numberfield.

Finally, we've got a new author, Stefanie Juchmes from MonkeyBread Software, who explains how to create and use barcodes with the MBS plugins.

In our regular columns, Susan writes about communicating with clients, Paul explores Apple's WWDC announcements and reports that the XojoTalk podcast is back, and I write about computed properties. Enjoy!
