After many months of internal, Alpha, and Beta testing, Xojo 2019 Release 2 shipped on October 9 with over 230 changes in the release notes. This release, quite possibly, has more changes in it than any release ever. So what's new?

API 2.0

The big new thing in this release is the first large rollout of API 2.0 changes. In particular, there are API 2.0 changes to desktop controls and the core Xojo framework.

To recap, API 2.0 is a Xojo initiative to improve framework APIs so that they are easier to learn, easier to use, and more readable with consistent naming conventions. You can learn more about the guidelines we use here:
