Unfortunately, setting up ODBC on Linux proved harder than I thought. I'll keep working on it. Hopefully I'll be able to write a column about it. This month I will discuss using the SQLite ODBC driver on Windows 7 (32-bit) using a Virtualbox VM.

Warning: Initially, I used my 64-bit Windows 7 VM. I got the following error on trying to connect to the database.

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application.

This could be a compatibility issue with the Xojo ODBC plugin and 64-bit Windows. I posted the problem in the forum.
